About BIF Motors
BIF motors is a small one man shop that caters to vintage British, Italian and French cars.
I have been working on cars for 40 years now. I started in a small British shop while in High School,
from there I went to work at the Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, and Maserati dealer where I worked for several years.
Between working for the dealership and opening up BIF Motors I worked as an engineer for 25 years,
but even during my time as a PE I continued to work on sports cars.
Oh and keeping the Web site up to date is not a high priority.
I enjoy the oddballs. They are difficult to get parts for, service literature is next to non existent and the specialty tools have to be made. That is a normal day here. I work on a global stage to obtain parts and we are working on the next stage of the business of re manufacturing parts that are no longer available
I build cars to drive. They should run, stop and handle as when they were new, or even better in some cases.
B is for British. I work on some British cars, mostly Jaguars, Lotus, Triumph and TVR's,
I is for Italian and really my specialty. Alfa Romeo's, Lancia, Fiat, Maserati, and Ferrari are the backbone of my business and what keeps me busy. I also work on ecterinis. All the cars I work on were made in the last century
F is for French, and it is the rarest car in the garage. I always enjoy the funky way the French do things.
This is for normal service, and is based closer to what book time should be for a procedure.
This includes cleaning, painting and detailing. This is over and above what is considered normal service and is a flat rate.
This is straight time it includes design time and fabrication. More details to come.
If you are getting ready to buy, make sure you know the problems
